| Anchors Away! Space-Saving Tips for Family Cruise Travel |
|
My family and I love to cruise. I have found that using the following space-saving tips, makes our family travel days more sane. Because of the cabin sizes, it is tough to stay organized with limited space. Plus, if I stay organized from port-to-port, I don't have to waste precious vacation time packing up to leave.
Click here for some great tips and MY FAVORITE THINGS to bring on your next cruise..... The Container Store offers storage and organization tips for family vacations and cruise vacations. There are so many things that make cruising easier. Take for example, how much room you can save if you use a hanging travel organizer for your cosmetics so they don't take up the entire counter in the bathroom of the ship. Cruise spaces are small and when you are traveling with kids, the space seems even smaller. The key to happy cruising is organized cruising! Use the Eagle Creek packing system and put all of your clothes and cosmetics in organized, waterproof compartments within your luggage. Here's another tip: Only fill your containers 3/4 full so they don't overflow and spill on the airplane from the pressure. When I took a cruise to Europe, I was very happy to have an extra duffel packed in my suitcase for duty-free finds overseas. Who isn't going to shop when on vacation? I always suggest bringing along an empty extra duffel/small suitcase that folds down nicely in your luggage so you can check a bag full of souvenirs home. |
