Traveling by plane with you pet takes advance planning. You will need to contact your specific airline to see find out the regulations. Be careful - even if you have flown multiple times before with a pet, these regulations continually change based on the temperature, the type and age of pet and the specific airline. Some airlines allow small pets to travel on board with their owner, however, there is usually an additional fee and the amount of pets per flight are extremely limited. Be sure to alert your airline if you wish to bring your pet prior to booking your flight. Airlines will also require some type of health certification from your veterinarian. Each airline differs as to how many days prior to the flight this certification must be performed.
