Page 2 of 2 The sanctuary has seven aquariums, including two touch tanks where my kids held live turtles and starfish. The remaining tanks bring to life the reef and offshore ecosystems, hosting live denizens of the deep including sharks, Florida spiny lobsters and grouper. ![]() My kids enjoyed the turtle touch tanks at the Naples Ritz-Carlton's Nature's Wonders sanctuary ![]() ![]() Brandon looks like a budding Botanist as he checks out his microscopic treasures from the Naples beach. ![]() A ten-foot tall, life-like mangrove tree will greet guests as they enter into the back of the Nature’s Wonders sanctuary where they find three iMac computers nestled amongst the “walking tree’s” tangled root system, providing learning stations in a natural setting for eager minds to delve deeper into the subject matter. My kids, my husband and I joined the resort’s team of naturalists for a trip to the Conservancy of Southwest Florida’s Nature Center where they brought us on a special visit to the “hospital” for injured and recovering birds including eagles, hawks and owls. The Naples Zoo also hosts chaperoned field trips featuring a guided boat ride around the Monkey Islands. And, for a souvenir, forget a snow globe. The hotel gift shop sells sand globes with baby turtles and shells inside that my boys will treasure forever as a memory of when they held the live creature in their tiny hands.
