The Art of Packing Light: How to Pack for the Family in One Bag in One Hour PDF Print E-mail
My video on “How to Pack for a Family in One Hour in One Bag,” which we taped for www.VisitFlorida.com has inspired me to brag about the packing system I discovered “by accident when my friend from Los Angeles came to visit.”

It’s called the Pack-It folder system.  You use color-coded envelopes, one for each child, so you don’t mix things up, and folding boards (included) You can fit twice as much in your suitcase.

Also, check out the compression sacks and zippered cubes, which hold bathing suits, socks, etc.  My friend from Los Angeles, who is hip to cutting edge trends, came to visit me in Florida. She took this system out of her suitcase. I was so amazed that I had to try it myself.  You have to see it to believe it.

I will help narrow your focus and get you organized before you pack.  I have mastered the “art” of packing light, which makes me an expert packer!

In fact, I am one of the only “hands-free” moms at the airport. Each of my sons pulls their own carry-on, complete with snacks, electronics, busy crafts, toys, books and games. About a month ahead of our trip, I order enough creative playthings from www.Madallie.com to keep them occupied on the plane.

My husband wheels the family duffel bag and I just put my purse over my shoulder. It’s a wonderful new era of family travel for us. My boys are too old for strollers. We check the car seat and family duffle at the curbside check-in.
