     The Ashton family just visited Westgate River Ranch in River Ranch, Florida and enjoyed it immensely! As a family of six with children ranging from ages three to nine years old, it is sometimes challenging to keep them all happily entertained. This dude ranch claims to be the largest one in the world and it certainly earned the name and shows off well. From the serenaded hay rides to the down-home country street party, we felt welcomed the entire time. Our kids enjoyed country line-dancing, making unique crafts that were then used in the children's parade.

    Westgate River Ranch is only an hour away from Orlando and is a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city. With beautiful sweeping oaks all around, this 1,700- acre property is a wonderful place to come and relax.

    At the Dude Ranch, we learned so much about the daily country lifestyle! On our hay ride, we witnessed the birth of a calf! The following day, at the petting farm, we watched as the first of three goats were born! We will spare you the details, but we sure got quite an education! It was truly an amazing sight for the children and parents alike.
